I think that's the idea... YouTube is a sharing community. People aren't taking files and repackaging them as their own presentation website.

Its the same as anything we've had in the past, they've just slapped a flash frontend on it. Yahoo Geocities was a sharing community. Every host that's ever been is a sharing community. Simple fact remains when someone chucked stuff up on Geocities from another site and never mentioned where it came from, they were shot down in flames quickly. Anyone does it with Youtube... and no-one seems bothered, or trots out the 'its not yours in the first place' line. None of the stuff has ever been ours, but people at least used to refer and credit to those who'd done the legwork of tracking it down via aging VHS tapes. How many %age of the Youtube lot do that when 'sharing'. Razz But I'm not going to continue, as I think the changing attitude of people towards the pres sites now is more a topic geared towards the Media Websites thread moaning about how none of us update anymore (would you believe, there may be a connection between them Razz).

Lets see how many similarities the show has - when it is aired on Saturday - to Bert's Family Feud (on Nine in Oz). As previously mentioned there is a very similar resemblence to the Oz set already (although in Oz the have 4 per family instead whilst in the UK 5 per family).

See

Bert's Family Feud

"I think they're four poofs!"

Laughing

Gotta love the Aussies, only they could get away with something like that.

Seems the Australians still know how to make a decent gameshow. Not too keen on the set/board but the format's still good, unless it involves celebs ITV Rolling Eyes

I actually remember seeing the first episode whilst in Oz and I couldn't believe what I heard - its just so Oz and that's how it should be here - forget all the PC nonsense - if it makes people laugh then whats wrong with it!!!!!!!!!

I also enjoyed how he came on as he introduced himself and the programme as though it was still Good Morning Australia - his old show on TEN. Could you imagine anyone doing that over here when swapping channels - I somehow doubt it - again down to Britishness and PC!

How can you slag off All Star Family Fortunes before even seeing the first episode?!

And in what way does the new UK Set represent the Aussie set?!?! It's NOTHNIG LIKE IT!

The Ner-Nerrr Incorrect sound remains - it's core to the show!

...and the graphics are not the same as the Aussie ones.

As far as i'm concerned, when i've run TV sites in the past it was purely so i could share the content with as many people as possible. I didn't care about getting the 'glory' of being the one to provide the clips. That's why I don't see a problem with YouTube.

Its not slagging it off - its a presumption. Just the words "All Star" irritates me. Why not bring back traditional Family Fortunes.

It would be nice, but then a lot of people on forums like this would get on their soap box "Its crap its this its that, cant ITV come up with something original" or something similar Laughing

I quite like it so far. It's a nice refresh.

Why does Vernon Kay have to keep saying "Our Survey Says/Said" during the main rounds? Bob, Max, Les or Andy never said that until Big Money.

Also, I miss Mr Babbage. Sad It's probably me being a traditionalist.

Wasn't Andy the warm-up man on this? How ironic.
