All Star Cup

ITV1 + 2 are screening the second All Star Cup golf tournament this August Bank Holiday weekend. It's made by Ant & Dec's own production company, Gallowgate and last year was shown on Sky, although Ant & Dec weren't allowed to be seen on screen due to their ITV contract.

This year, ITV are taking the tournament and Ant & Dec are hosting.

Watch your favourite stars from Europe and America battle it out on the Roman Road course as the Northern Rock All*Star Cup returns to The Celtic Manor Resort this August.

This star-studded event, the ultimate celebrity golf tournament, takes place over the Bank Holiday Weekend and will be hosted by prime time TV favourites, Ant and Dec. The three-day Ryder Cup style tournament will feature an amazing line-up of A-list stars from the worlds of film, television, music and sport.

The Event will be televised live on ITV and will follow a Ryder Cup style format.

Last year’s event saw Team Europe’s Catherine Zeta Jones pitched against her husband Michael Douglas, alongside fellow competitors such as Chris Evans, Ronan Keating, Jodie Kidd, Sir Steve Redgrave and many more. Passions promise to run high for this year’s clash as Team USA bid to take the cup from the Europeans, who are led once again by non-playing Captain, golfing legend Colin Montgomerie.

Another flop. Oh, its Ant and Dec again.

Not really - it is in its second year and last years was actually quite good to watch. Surprised Sky haven't snapped it up again, considering ITV didn't want anything to do with it last year!

Chris Evans, Bruce Forsyth and Ross Kemp are among the celebs on the European Team for ITV's Northern Rock All-Star Cup.

The golfing tournament - playing out over the Bank Holiday Weekend - will see a team of European celebrities face off against a group of American rivals.

Colin Montgomerie will captain the European team, with other stars on board including Ruud Gullit, Ronan Keating, Jodie Kidd, Damien Lewis, James Nesbitt, Phil Tufnell, Bradley Walsh and Ian Wright. Ant and Dec are hosting, while commentary comes from Andrew Castle, Renton Laidlaw and Ronnie Corbett.

I see Andrew Castle is commentating - how disappointing - he should just stick to the tennis in my opinion.

I'm quite looking forward to this!

Last year's was good but now they got Ant and Dec presenting and ITV will be giving it proper coverage between ITV1 and ITV2 - I can see it being a real success! There's not usually much worth watching on a typical Bank Holiday weekend!

Golf on ITV? Sends shivers down my spine. Last year's Sky Sports coverage was excellent.

Let's hope there's a decent production company doing the actual golf bit!

It's the same production company as last year, a Gallowgate Productions and TWI Production, but for ITV instead of Sky One.

Last year Terry Wogan proved great fun as a commentator. I'm disappointed he won't be there this year and I'm sure Andrew Castle will prove a complete bore as usual!

I can't stand Ant and Dec, they're just not funny and behave like clowns. At best they're okay children's entertainers, but have no place on family/ adult television. I'm not the only person I know who holds this view. In fact, does anybody actually LIKE them?

Ant or Dec are apparantly donating £10,000 of their own money to charity in the programme at 8pm

Yes it's been great! I haven't watched ALL of it but all the bits I've managed to catch have been very entertaining and professional.

Ant and Dec have really enjoyed this marathon and have proved themselves as competent presenters and not just their usual Saturday night type stuff.

I cannot even guess how this would fair in the ratings!
