The sketches have been poor so far but that studio really is brilliant. Bit of a random choice but it looks great.

I'm surprised they brought back Dr Jessen as a host. He wasn't great first time round and I think it would be better with Davina, Alan and Adam all night.

The stage mics don't sound good at all. They just played a serious package with a cancer sufferer then straight into the ads. Classy.

I expected them to cut back to Davina and as the brief shot of her on stage showed maybe she expected them too as well. It could have been miscommunication and channel 4 cued the ads early.

Or it's just that the stories speak for themselves and don't always need reaction from the host. I'd have thought too ad breaks would be a prime time for people to donate.

Davina is pretty much hosting this solo it seems with Alan and the doc off doing their own little segments.

It was definitely an error. It makes no sense that they would cut to a break with no number on screen after a hard-hitting film. I wouldn't be surprised if they missed out on a few thousand from that.

You know you'e got a bad show on your hands when the heartbreaking films are preferable to the excruciating entertainment being offered up,

Isn't that CIN though?

Slight glitch and its filler mode

Each to their own - I'm enjoying the majority. The last leg part has been very good so far to deal with all sides of things.

CIN seems comfortable with it's safe blandness though. This is self consciously trying to be edgier but failing miserably. Maybe they're trying to hark back to earlier Comic Relief but with much of the "wacky" live stuff falling flat (Alan Carr's group selfie and that excruciating Last Leg intro) they're justifying Comic Relief's evolution.
