Thought I just caught the continuity link over the end of EastEnders trailing Springwatch with Bill Oddie and Kate Humble just now. Did he really say "Find out how Kate's tits are getting on over on BBC2 now"? Silly, I know, but I can't believe they thought no one would notice.
In case you didn't tell though, it was a pun. It meant tits as in Blue Tits, not breasts.......
Yes, I did understand that much, thanks - I wasn't trying to be puerile. My point was that I didn't think the cheeky pun would be lost on many people. It was a bit blatant!
But it has been a running gag since the first episode - they've been constantly referring to Kate's Tits - so it is a bit cheeky, but in keeping with the show. It will have appealed to the regular viewers who are in on the "joke".

Unfortunate then for those who aren't amongst the exclusive group of regular viewers. Bad enough to cross-promote in an exclusive (rather than an inclusive) way, but to do it with playground humour... well, it's not big, and it's not clever.
I tend to think that Northern Ireland and Wales took the right decision to re-script.

Playground humour = funny. As many famous comedy acts prove. Silly rude jokes can be just as much fun as any other type of humour. Perhaps even more so.
But then, people like to feel superior, don't they?
