Put The Telly On
Lots of cock-ups and things tonight including the cringeable Jade and Chantelle but its all for charity at the end of the day so can't complain. Some of those stories really make you think.

Anyway, has Peter Kay been on tonight? I think i've missed him.

Davina is looking heavily pregnant, those dresses really aren't fitting her well!

Yes Peter Kay was on earlier with his Max & Paddy routine. Sorry.

Yep... an hour and 15 minutes of PFC, preceeded by one of Manju Mahli's bland announcements (practically the same script every time she introduces it!) - and a rather unusual sighting - right now on Ceefax itself on P606 it says "Pages From Ceefax" as the programme currently on BBC TWO and on P602 in the listings!

Final Sport Relief total for tonight: £12,216,598 !

A rather funny moment there whilst we waited for the total to come up:

Chris: You are responsible for raising.......
(total fails to come up)
Gary: Nothing!
(laughter).

And after Naked running and a grand total of over £12m.. the BBC finishes the show with their favourite trademark....

With BBC One shutting up shop at 12.50, it looks like Ceefax will be on show for a fair while tonight on Two.

Does anyone know why this happens? I'm confused Confused

And with BBC1 running nearly 20 minutes late, we end on a slightly extended Capoeira into News 24!

Cdukjunkie, it's because the BBC can't show News 24 on both channels, so BBC2 takes Ceefax if they've got nothing to fill a late night gap up to the Leaning Zone when BBC1 are already showing News 24.

Oh right, thanks Very Happy As simple as that, arn't I the idiot... Embarassed

EDIT: Actually, why can't they show News 24 on both channels? Laughing Simply because of choice (hmm...News 24 or Ceefax... Razz) or because it's not technically viable?

I found it quite dull some oif which maybe due to the atmosphere generated by the size of the audience.

The problem with that studio is that it's massive but cannot accommodate a big set and a big audience. One needs to be compromised for the other. That's why the Fountain Studio that The X Factor comes from is better. This is probably a small thing that nobody else bothers about but look at Studio 1 at The London Television Studio and how electric the atmosphere is because of the large audience.

Come on cylon6... give them a chance... they had to make as much room for Davina as possible in her current condition! Laughing

Cdukjunkie, I don't know - it's just more sensible that way than having the same thing on two channels! It gives viewers a choice!

OUCH!! Very Happy

I look at Sport Relief the same way I look at Children In Need,; good causes, bad shows. Comic Relief I think works much better even though they too have had some bad years recently in terms of quality.
