So, Sport Relief 2012 has just started, with no 'One Show' at 7, as is the norm. Not sure if it's just ignorance, but I haven't seen as much promotion for tonight's Sport Relief. I've seen promotions for the Mile, but not much else, otherwise.
Gary Linneker and Claudia Winklemen are presenting first.
I liked the Strictly Come Dancing Underwater feature. The rest has been a little boring so far. I think 'Gary Lineker Visits a Rubbish Dump' could have worked with better writers. I didn't laugh once.
The phone number graphic seems to be out of the safe area, for the first time (in Comic/Sport Relief history)
This current widescreen CRT of mine (inferior to my previous) has some pretty bad overscan going on - so, when in the corner, the red ball is scraping the absolute top and left edges; a whisker away from being too far outside.
Like Comic Relief last year it's basically VTs linked together by the hosts and is once again missing the live buzz. They really should have had Freddit Flintoff doing his record attempts live throughout the night rather than on Monday.
Unfortunately though the focus of both Comic Relief and Sport Relief has now switched to big celebrity challenges in the weeks and months ahead of the telethon at the expence of the day itself.
