I like the look of this already.

I'm very happy it appears to have the same feel as the original.

I'm not sure about the new logo, but otherwise in agreement going by the two short preview sketches.

I'd be more upset if they changed the theme tune... the melody, at least.

Yeah.

I don't think it'll do too well ratings wise though unfortunately. People are eager to see it return but not eager enough to pay. £5 a month for it.

From the trailers it seems to have kept its original charm.

One thing the new series won't do is get the younger generation involved which is something it's predecessor did so well.

I was thinking they might be relying on clips going viral on social media and YouTube so people will sign up to watch it. But if people end up just waiting for those clips it kind of defeats the object.

First impressions are good though!

I wonder if they'll feature news readers like they did in the 70s. Seeing a puppet version of Preston, Bradby and McCoy would.be hilarious. We know that Piers Morgan will get a puppet but I wonder if they'll use a scaled down version of the GMB set

I'm certainly excited! Smile As it stands, I think this is gonna be way funnier than the original series, having just watched those clips.

Who’s Preston?

I'm not sure how tailored they're trying to make this for the American subscribers but wouldn't our news presenters be a little obscure?

I imagine it was commissioned purely to encourage UK audiences to subscribe. Can't imagine many Americans having a strong enough grasp of British politics to know about the likes of Gove, Raab and Cummings, who all have puppets.
