According to my friend who went to the press screening tonight, there is a sketch featuring the Trumps in quarantine.

I wonder if they've rushed filmed that sketch, or if this happening was such an inevitability they'd already filmed it.

It was recorded this morning. Like the original series, they are going to be producing inserts very close to 'transmission' or whatever you'd call it on a streaming service.

Apparently Priti Patel is voiced by Indira Varma, which makes more sense.

Yes, that makes sense. I thought it sounded like Debra Stephenson, but I thought it sounded different to her on Dead Ringers who I’m pretty sure is done by Debra Stephenson.

Been watching the Spitting Image extras on Britbox and for some reason the original Spitting Image logo on the voice artist's T-shirt who played Mrs Thatcher was blurred out.

I’m currently on Episode 11, but these 5 minute documentaries/talking heads are very enjoyable and informative. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have uploaded it as one though.

Yes they're in an odd format, with all the talking heads first followed by all the relevant clips.

I think they've done really well in terms of generating a buzz about it.

I won't be subscribing just to watch this one show, so I am surprised it has gotten so much promotion with such a limited audience

As already discussed in this thread, it is likely Spitting Image has been chosen to generate publicity as much as increase subscribers. And it's doing pretty well so far.

The questions is how many of the people who are discussing it will sign up to watch despite their interest. I'm not... though the fact none of the TV platforms I have offer Britbox does have some effect on that.

Publicity doesn't have to instantly turn into subscribers to be deemed a success, particularly when the platform is as new as BritBox. A lot of it will be about getting the brand into the public's consciousness and keeping it there.

There's a chance it might trigger enough curiosity to get people signing up to free trials. But ultimately I don't think any single programme can carry an entire platform, nor do I think BritBox expect it to.

Doesn't BritBox have a 30 day free trial?
