Been watching the Spitting Image extras on Britbox and for some reason the original Spitting Image logo on the voice artist's T-shirt who played Mrs Thatcher was blurred out.

It's not unusual for a brand to be blurred out to avoid any trademark issues.

Though you'd ask what trademark issues there are when ITV owns it.

It doesn't. It's owned by Spitting Image Productions.

ITV/Central didn't make Spitting Image, it was made by Spitting Image Productions

Also it doesn't mean that the logo design is owned by the same rights holders as the name and format, it night well have been bought in for a certain time/use. I don't know who's producing this new version

Avalon, isn't it?

Yes. Avalon are producing. I think Spitting Image Productions were wound up after the original series finished, and IIRC the archive is now with housed one of the University libraries in Cambridge.

It still exists, with Roger Law as a director. It has taken someone this long to convince him to allow it back on air.

Didn't he nearly allow it back on air in the mid-00s, then went back on it when Ant & Dec puppets were made without his permission?

Oddly Spitting Image productioms also made the TV version of The Mary Whitehouse Experience, I don't know if they made anything else or it that was a one-off

As all four of the main people on The Mary Whitehouse Experience also worked on Spitting Image, I'm going to guess it was an "in association with" credit as some, if not all of them were still under contract.

Ahh, yes just found an old episode and it was exactly that: 'in association with'. Seems only Baddiel and Dennis were involved in Spitting Image though. It wasn't a credit on the radio series or anything else they were involved in though
