I don't think that kind of show would fit into todays schedule.
I do often get fed up of people demanding old TV programs back sometimes. Not you personally of course, but people in general. It's gone, it's been cancelled, move on. If it does happen to come back, that would be nice, but i just don't get people who actually try contacting companies trying to get old shows back on.

Yes it is rather sad.......
......suppose the thing here is that the TV industry generally seems desperate to re-vatalise the concept of television comedy, and can't help but look at former long-runs as a model.

, it was ITV thinking aloud and tasting the water.
The real point is that Spitting Image really worked, and delivered hudge audiences, when the Government was old, tiered and politically corrupt, the opposition were a bunch of prats and there were lots of easy targets for satire like a thick Republican Administration, the Church of Engalnd and British Rail. Now we have ...........
... and a really juicy target for satire in ITV Senior managament.
