not to be mean, by sometime you expect someone of a certain age, to die, now of course sometime if it was a bolt out of the blue then maybe yes, but TV channel should not just clean broad, just because someone passes away.

But it's certainly not an official graphic, in fact I believe the clouds themselves started life as a snap taken by one of the Northern Ireland continuity directors in his back garden in Donaghadee, Co Down...

Is there a version of the clouds with the Subtitles tag on it? If not its news to me.

You stop loitering in his back garden or I'll box your ears, young man.

I take it Camilla wouldn't get the Diana treatment?

As I understand it, Diana wasn't meant to get the "Diana treatment" - it was a circumstance which wasn't quite covered in the plan with her unusual circumstances as a divorced royal, so the stations played it by ear.

That was my point. Diana was such an unprecedented event that it, um, set a new precedent. The Queen Mum tried to match it but couldn't. David Beckham would be be certainly more likely to get such coverage if he popped it tomorrow than Camilla or many of the royals - such is the way of our world.

I heard Camilla would be having a horse-drawn carriage....

Don't make me bring out that picture of her as a horse that I put in the thread when they got married! Laughing

That's right. Used at the top of each hour if I recall correctly.

Think it appeared before My Family on strike day back in 2005. There must be clips of that around.

Failing that, just imagine some clouds. With a BBC logo slapped over them. Clouds over Northern Ireland would be the best to imagine.

Something like this with a BBC logo slapped on instead, I presume.
