A Special Ident for Doctor Who

I've noticed the TVForum Homepage is marking the occasion with a picture of the Dalek Two. I was surprised they didn't drag that one out and place it in the current set for last week's Dr Who Night on BBC TWO.

Scotland just got the old Tumbler ident. Damn.

England played a trailer, froze on the end of it, played about half of another trailer in sound only before cutting to an ident.

Brilliant - the most hyped new series in ages and the Pres automation screws up the junction going into it!

What has happened to the BBC ident department of late? How disappointing.

You can't go wrong with good old Tapdogs - I suppose at least it was a nice long showing.
I have to admit I was expecting a dalek in the middle and the dancers dancing around it, especially after Festival was used into the other Dr Who programme earlier to celebrate the occasion.
Oh well, I suppose, this is BBC ONE.

So did BBC One Wales play a special ident?

No, just the Made in Wales sting between the ident and programme.

The old Tumbler ident - I thought they had to stop playing the original out because of soundtrack copyright issues.

Has it not been replaced? It's been in use since the start of the year...
