Under two hours time to go.. I really can't wait to see this show. The only thing I dislike is that it is cruel to the real people.

Don't worry - I'm sure C4 are already drawing up a shortlist of celebrities to star in a spin-of when actually they will go on a space mission.

The twist is they believe they'll be coming back to earth! Twisted Evil

Fighting the urge to feel sorry for them! It is brilliant though. Took a while to get into but the whole idea of those tests is actually very clever.

They've managed to whittle down to gullible, ballsy people.

What can I say- that was outstanding.

If you had to pick a vehicle for Johnny Vaughan's smug sarcasm routine- this is it.

Very impressed with the whole tone of the show, which I thought would be a lot more serious given the amount of money C4 have chucked at it, but it's all the fabber for it.

Yes, this is the total anti-thesis to the cam-whorin' stupid reality tv that I've been waiting for since Big brother reaared it's ass ugly head.

Absolutely- there's been a lot of talk in the build up about "feeling sorry" for those taking part. I hope that's disappeared tonight.

From seeing the videos and training, those selected were seeking this "pseudo-celebrity" nonsense that is perpetuated by crap reality shows on channel 4 and ITV.

There should be no sympathy- they deserve everything coming their way.

Brilliant!

I'm a huge Big Brother fan and was looking forward to this but did have reservations it might be a bit geeky!

Wasn't at all - and far more entertaining in it's first hour than the whole of I'm a Celeb!

Satellite Show seemed to be identical to BBLB - even down to the running out of time for phonecalls!

And great to see Johnny Vaughan back with a decent format - the first since he left C4 nearly five years ago!

I've enjoyed the show so far, particularly when they were all hugging each other with the all 'we're the best in the country, we're going into space' because lol obviously they're not! Very Happy

Saying that though I still feel a bit sorry for them,

The other rant I've got is I wish they'd stop going on about this could be the biggest flop ever, somebody could figure it out, considering the entire series has been pre-recorded and they know exactly what is going to happen, that seems really unlikely!

It isn't pre-recorded is it?? It certainly had the feel of a live show tonight.

I can't beleive how watchable it is! And I loved the Satellite Show as well, why didn't Alex Zane get the Big Brother's Big Mouth job? He's great.
