"May the farce be with you"
Space Cadets begins next Wednesday at 9pm, with the mission begins live on Sunday. The cadets are back on planet earth on Friday.
E4 has live coverage from 10.30pm Sunday night, with E4 Music being dropped from the daytime schedules. A repeat of Space Cadets and The Satellite Show airs from 2.55pm-4.30pm, with further live coverage at 6pm and 7.30pm.
Notice ITV are airing an "I'm a Celebrity - Coming Out" reunion special against the launch show on the Wednesday, two days after the final. Due to ITV1 airing The Big Fight, The X Factor results are on at 8.30pm on the Saturday, so it'll only clash with SCD.
A tough ratings night for the launch on Sunday though, with BBC1 airing the Freddie Flintoff Sports Personality of the Year and ITV1 airing the Royal Variety Show.

I can see it flopping too. Putting something like this on so nearer Christmas - people aren't going to bother watching. But, we'll wait and see.

It could go either way to be honest. I think though it's done quite well in getting publicity, and I think in the wake of I'm a Celeb the tabloids be more than happy to fill it's pages with news about what we watched last night on TV.
Probably also get the Daily Star exclusively revealing it's all a hoax and they won't actually be going into space!
They talked about it on Breakfast this morning quite a bit, and made quite an interesting point that rather than leading to a lot of rip-off reality hoaxes, it'll probably make it more difficult for companies to launch new reality shows without the contestants wondering if it's a hoax or not!
Whether Space Cadets pull it off or not, I doubt it really matters - it'll make headlines either way!

I doubt it. The majority of people who apply to be on a reality TV show are doing so because they want to be famous. They won't care if it's a hoax or not..getting their face on TV is their ticket to 'fame'.
As for Space Cadets. The show has already encountered a number of hiccups whilst just getting the contestants to 'Russia'.
Don't read on if you don't want to know...
After flying for 3 hours one of the window shutters accidentally opened...while over the while cliffs of Dover. Also one of the actors has apparently being booted off the show for cocking his story up big time.
So far though all the contestants seem to be oblivious. Even commenting how much more bitter the Russian air is and how the water tastes different.
