Have we actually got to the point where we're watching "live" yet?

I don't think any of it will be live, and I don't think it really needs to be

Personally I'm enjoying the documantary sections about the programme more than the coverage of the actual cadets.

Why did they have the word 'live' in the title then? Confused

To be quite honest I was quite shocked when I first came on here to see how certain members on other threads feel the need to attack people for the smallest thing. So maybe I was a little defensive, so fair point. Not only that, from my very first post on here when i accidently started a new topic about this, I got a load of arrogance and attitude problems. One calling me a stupid conspirecy theorist the other in less than polite ways saying there was another thread. Hell it was my first post, i dont expect that sort of crap from anyone. So admittedly, I have been a little defensive. Because not all people, I am sure are like that on here.

Just some people have got a real superiority complex. However the more people have a go the more i tend to dig my heels in. At the end of the day it is not the most major thing happening on the earth. And I can see your point about me being right and not seeing others points of view. Although to be honest, I am still yet to hear anything really constructive.

Lets try a new one. I have read that if this is a hoax on the audience, maybe, considering their concentration on suggestability, Derren Brown could be behind this somewhere.

I will just throw it in for conversations sake and nothing more, i couldnt say either way for sure obviously.

If we are to beleive that there is a mass experiment of audience suggestability, then indeed Derren Brown may have his sticky fingers involved. That would be right up his street.

Mind you, Johnny Vaughn made a strong effort to reiterate that it is a "fact" that not all the group are acting, and that they "do expect to go to space".

Its difficult to say either way, as the premise of the show is *so* unusual and out of the ordinary; and we're simply not getting enough information. One thing we can all agree on is that if the show was out to make a mark, it has certainly done it.

As to this forum - well it's true that some of the regulars don't suffer fools gladly. We are subjected to many. However, I'm sure you don't fall into that category.

Relax, stay with the flow, and I'm sure you'll start to enjoy the many genuinley smart and funny people who post here.

i think its an experiment to see if they can drive their audience insane with all the, is it isnt it stuff.lolol

would be up derren browns street ur right there.

anyone can stick the word "live" in. Remember, just because it says "live" doesnt mean it must be live.

Even if just the links are live, it's a live programme - a bit like the news!

I know some people have found the pacing slow, but I've loved the show because of it. If it had began with the launch into space it wouldn't have been as effective. Now we know a little bit about the Cadets, it's all the more interesting.

Yes, I think everyone was expecting it to be a Big Brother clone, it's a totally diffrent format to any 'reality' shows that have gone before

It's certainly different...I find the whole "moth" excuse to be a bit flimsy though. I'm sure there's lots more up their sleaves and I look forward to it. But there's just that little bit of me that thinks some of it's all too convenient. But I'm still enjoying the ride. Laughing

Ratings back above the 2m barrier last night - 2.2m.

I think the show is all the better for the fact there are flaws that could lead to it being exposed - and I think it'll be a better conclusion if the cadets figure it out rather than the producers telling them on landing.

I think though the actual mission part may not be as interesting as the training etc. - so the next few days may drag.

On the theory that it's the audience being hoaxed... my newsroom in particular is trying to stand the story up in conjunction with a national newspaper.
If it's not - expect to see a very large banner with 'you're in the UK...stupid' being flown over Ipswich... (one of the alcohol fuelled ideas)

That's not really going to work with them all in a big soundproof air hangar. By the time they leave the air hangar, they're going to be in ont he joke.

Interesting to see Johnny enter the back part of the spaceship tonight to do a live interview with two of the actors. They are pushing the limits of what they can get away with.
