They showed a clip of the 4 cadets in the spaceship earlier.... I assume the launch did take place tonight and we'll see it tomorrow

I didn't see that I saw 2 things that you could have confused with this.

1. They were using an area that resembled the ship that they were trainign in.

2. They showed footage of testers using the spaceship- not the actual cadets.

Yep, I used to work with the girl who's the PA, and it looked like her in that shot of the shuttle testers tonight.

Possibly problems with the shuttle - or more likely to avoid it clashing with Sports Personality / Royal Variety.

On The Satellite Show they revealed a couple of interesting things - firstly, in the test flight a panel fell off the simulator revealing the studio floor below it!

And secondly, the rejected cadets are being kept on standby for a possible second mission in case the hoax is exposed!

That's why there was no reveal tonight - but surely they would want to see their fellow cadets take off though!

That's probably what it was, I was only half-watching

Good news because it means I haven't missed it

I've given up watching this because a) there is always something else to watch and b) I'm finding it hard to believe what is real and who is real etc. Rolling Eyes

They've just been found out! Five Live discovered that all of the 'astronauts' are in fact actors, and it's the viewers that the trick is being played on, not the contestants.

The curly haired one was spotted on an advert.

So that's the end of Space Cadets then!

How many times had the "Ryan in an advert" thing popped up (I know I'm not the only one who's seen it posted a hundred thousand times and is sick of reading it), and how many times to people have to explain that just because he's in an advert (doing something that hardly requires acting ablilites) doesn't mean he's in on the show. The fact is, he could quite probabally be the bloke who donated blood to Gordon Ramsay.

Back when I was in Primary School, a friend of mine appeared in an advert for Fairy, and she wasn't an actor. As James2001 said, this Ryan-was-in-an-advert-which-automatically-makes-the-entire-thing-a-double-hoax theory is astonishingly silly.
