Yes, I will be definately watching that. Once in a while the BBC come up with some fantastic documentaries like Walking with Dinosaurs, even that thing about the Son of God with Jeremy Bowen was very good. This looks the best yet. When is it on ?

Yes, i do like programmes like this, but it's the same as with Prof Winston (from Child of Time and stuff fame), he always makes it seem so black and white and that there is no room for other possibilities. in this programme they are stating that it started with the big bang - this is still unconfirmed as they have found no evidence from that time - true, some does point to it, but scientists still can't accept that there might be a being higher than themselves who created it all (i am a scientist - that way orientated and a Christian so i believe it was made - but i am open to possibilities that it was made with a bang). all i hate is that they say this IS how it happened. as phoebe from friends correctly mentioned - only at the start of this century scientists thought that the universe revolved around the earth and that the atom was the smallest thing. who knows what other discoveries could be made in the next one hundred years...

james (in a very philosophical mood it seems - going to crowded Maidstone has that effect on me - can't stand huge crowds and arriva buses!!!! Smile )

Yes, you have a point there. However, I will be watching it with an open mind, and just enjoying all the special effects and stuff.

Are Arriva buses worse than Arriva trains ?

I can't wait to see it, and I am told that the graphics are the equivelant to Hollywood movies! So it does sound pretty promising!Smile

Huh? The geocentric view was all but dead as far back as the 15th century, never mind six and a bit months ago.

i'm still stuck in the 20th - and i use it as an illustration - i think they changed the theory at the end of the 17th - but galileo only got a reprive from the catholic church in 1997 (even though he died several centuries before) - he was banished from the church and imprisoned for saying the earth orbited the sun - just shows how old fashioned the catholic church is (please no-one bomb my house!! Smile )
