While watching Breakfast this morning, I have noticed that instead of getting South Today, like I should, I keep getting LDN. Has anyone notice any other regions which is getting LDN instead of their usual regional programme?
PS. Does anone have a real media clip of the new BBC News 24 Breaking the News trailer?

If it was UK Today and just on the Oxford transmitter then it could well be a fault on the sub-opt set up at Southampton, which just feeds the Oxford transmitter. I believe that both the Oxford and Southampton outputs have to be separately opted out - for joint bulletins the Oxford opt should be slaved to Southamptons gallery - but if no-one does this then Network aka UK Today goes out.
When the sub-opt first started Oxford viewers were treated to Pauline's rehearsals as well as her transmissions apparently...
However - if it was definitely BBC LDN was going out instead of UK Today - then this indicates that the feed from Southampton has failed - and Oxford is rebroadcasting a BBC London transmitter (probably Crystal Palace) Ideally the Oxford transmitter should rebroadcast a BBC South transmitter - but it may be that this is not possible (and the BBC London rebroadcast could be a legacy of the time when Oxford was part of the Newsroom SouthEast - then BBC South East - region)

I think the sub-opt is not used when the programme is shown at the bulitins throughout Breakfast, because when we look across the studio, we see the whole South Today region. The sub-opt is used (for example) in the 6 o'clock news and during the 10 o'clock news.
