Just to point out, it's not me saying it's not following the corporate look, it's an employee. So if it turns out to be wrong, don't shoot the messenger!

Yeah yeah, all you Beeb staff are right gossip merchants! You know you want to just post a few sneaky snaps of the new set!
No, you can have a look in the NotBBC(.com) TV forum if you want to read it for yourself!

How's The Dykester, Nicky?
Me and Greg were best mates right up until the point at which he closed TVS, TV AM, and sold LWT to Granada.

So after all that time it's finally happening, I remember back in the days of pre-corporate NSE they said that they were going to do this service, ah how far have we come since then?

In fact it's been almost exactly two years to the day! I remember when Newsroom South East took on the corporate look in October 1999 I thought what's the point relaunching now, it'll be finishing soon. No one thought it would have taken this long!

I would not be at all surprised if the new London programme made a feature of 'being in the newsroom' as they don't have a separate studio, and don't seem to have built a 'studio' area in their newsroom (as Tunbridge Wells have).

I think I heard that they may not even have a desk, though that would make quick access to the newsroom computers more difficult for the presenters...

I wonder if they will look a bit like Channel Five used to when they were in the newsroom...

Certainly, if you could see the newsroom in-shot it would certainly make more sense for the viewers who can currently hear the newsroom hubbub, but not see it!

I've made a lame attempt to draw maps showing the gradual changes in the South and South East BBC regions.

See them http://www.tvforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=1&topic=202&start=10 in this thread!
