After the report and live interview on Newsroom South East this evening, Jules Botfield mentioned that the new programme for London and the Home Counties starts later in the autumn - and that we'll get to see the presenters' legs...
That's because it will be in an area of the newsroom - with a nice downstairs bit, which will apparently be more 'comfy'.
The new London programme (It isn't to be called London Live) set is taking much longer to build than the others because it is, apparently, ' *so* cool'.
But apparently it wont have a desk and it will also not, and I'm quoting here, 'be in BBC generic new s style studio.... ' -- that's WILL NOT BE in a generic studio.
Could be right, could be wrong. Will be interesting though.

Legs hey... why would that be?! New look studio?...
Just to say that News 24 weather at 1955 said that there would be two new prersenters on a brand new news program in the southeast. Strange that it was mentioned on 24!

When do the regional political/documentary programmes start again?
Any news on what we'll be getting for these?

Re: the weather, I gather that the forecasts will on some days come from locations around Kent, e.g. Margate beach, presumably if the satellite truck (which they seem very proud of) is not otherwise engaged.
The two weather forecasts have also been doing stuff for Radio Kent (see the Kent Online website)

I believe the various parliaments and assembleys around the UK will return from their summer recess on Monday 10th September. So I presume the regional political programmes will therefore return on Sunday 16th September.

Oh, no, I can't believe it... What's the point in the BBC having spent over a year getting a generic look together, only for London to break ranks? The BBC are a bunch of a***holes for doing this!
By the way, Chesh, how have you come by this info?
The SET website hasn't (as far as I know) been officially launched - hence the broken links and problems on it.

Having also seen tonights NSE, I'll be looking forward to the new London/Home Counties programme in the autumn.
Although they are breaking the corporate look (if what Chesh said is true), they have had the same look for longer than the other regions now, and after all, London is the capital city....
I'd like to see the new South East programme too, but sadly, there's no chance of that, no doubt Asa and people down there will keep us informed with the info though
Just to point out, it's not me saying it's not following the corporate look, it's an employee. So if it turns out to be wrong, don't shoot the messenger!
