Sony Crime Channel is still on the epg and broadcasting normal programming, despite the epg now saying “Channel is no longer available”

Also, I just saw a Tru TV break bumper while watching. Don’t know if this was played out by mistake, or if it’s because Tru TV could be making a return.

Speaking of TruTV, it turns out their UK YouTube channel is quite active, posting frequent content despite the lack of a linear precense. Feels a lot like Men & Motors when that moved to YouTube.

Interesting, didn't know that page existed. Presumably it's a way for Turner to try and cash in on some of the shows they haven't been able to flog to broadcasters in the UK.

I know Impractial Jokers, a popular TruTV show, did get on Comedy Central over here, but I wonder why shows like Adam Ruins Everything and Hack My Life haven't been picked up by any major UK broadcasters...

Sony Crime has now been removed from the sky and Freesat epg, but is still broadcasting with normal programming (when accessed through manually tuned channels).

Sony Crime was removed from Freesat last June.

What about Freeview?

Sony Crime lost its national Freeview slot in early 2019, and disappeared on to low coverage local multiplexes before disappearing from the platform altogether .

Why are Sony channels so infamous for only being accessible through local multi-plexes? Even the bloody Pop channels have had that same issue. I honestly think Sony have sort of tarnished the reputation of CSC's channels and although Sony have somewhat of a budget compared to CSC, it's like they can't be bothered to allow most of the nation to see the channel.

Keeping the channel on a local multiplex is the cheapest way of retaining the channel number.
