So did anyone watch this tonight and if you did what did you think? It looked like Pop Idol for people that read Tatler. I think it'll be a big hit though.

I was going to suggest legally changing her name from Maria to something else, if Maria's a real problem.

The 17 yr old, Bryrony (sp?). She had a good voice but lacked personality. She seemed very funny though.

Despite it just being upmarket Pop Idol, and therefore completely copycat, I'm sure it'll be a ratings winner with the BBC1 audience

Although, why they had to give the gig to Graham Norton, yet again, I don't know

The upmarket factor is hardly copying - when was Pop Idol ever upmarket?!

However, BBC, ITV, whatever channel it is on, I didn't watch, and don't plan to.

BBC of course! I very much doubt Andrew would have slagged it off had it been on ITV1

I didnt watch but it sounds like a crap format for Saturday night entertainment. Both the BBC and ITV are as bad as each other when it comes to Saturday night tv at the moment, the BBC was better earlier this year because of Doctor Who.

Why the **** are they making a full series out of this ****?

It's niche at best - and while a talent search like this might warrant a one-off documentary, it's not doing the BBC any favours being on Saturday nights week after week!

ITV deservedly take some flack, but BBC on Saturday's isn't any better.

When does Robin Hood start - saw a brief bumper style promo a couple of weeks ago but nothing since!

They should've renamed this programme tonight... "How do you solve a problem like having the two most irritating men in television on back to back?"

Fortunately it's easy for me - I live in a multi-channel home! Laughing
