Surprised there were no changes to Soccer Saturday today. Im not expecting a complete new look, but would of thought they would have modified the studio slightly and got better playout system by now?
The quality of the picture was all over the place when the titles played.
I am wondering whether Sky Sports News will get a new look from the start of the Premiership season? Surely the Premiership coverage will have a new look, probably in the style of the current cricket graphics. I was surprised to find that the league coverage is still using last years set, but they do go well with the league's logo, so perhaps thats why they haven't changed. Of course, last season the Premiership graphics were a blue version of the league ones, and they both launched at the same time. Its been a few years since Sky Sports didn't adopt a new look for a new season!
Hope so, I still would like to see the screen between the desk and 'newsroom' removed, SSN always looked better without it. Great to have Jeff back though, only nine months until another Sports Saturday though with Ed Chamberlain and the gang, bet you can't wait!!!!!!!!!

I can't see this happening because the screen stops 99% of the sound from the newsroom. Also, the compression on Sky Sports News is really bad - the screen looks nothing like what you see at home. It's really fancy on set, shame that it looks nothing like that. I think that the whole set is better there than on TV.
As one of the posters mentioned, the playout system is bad, Sky Sports News uses a version of Betamax, this would explain why there playout is bad. And for those who don't know what Betamax is.. use a search engine..
