It is a runaway success on ITV1. Even I didn't expect it to do as well as it is doing, just think of all those 18-35s tuning in that the advertisers like!

This show gets its peak audience after Big Brother finishes and BBC1 didn't provide much competition. However it was beaten by Judge John Deed last Friday and Life On Mars on Monday and the demographic that ITV craves is actually watching Big Brother. So the 18-34's might be sad but they aren't

The other hit of the night was the return of BBC2's genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are?. This time it was Newsnight hardman Jeremy Paxman who got to trace his family tree. His journey to Glasgow and Bradford attracted an audience of 5.3 million people, a 21% share, at 9pm.
The audience for Who Do You Think You Are? was 1 million more than watched Celebrity Big Brother and almost trumped ITV's Soapstar Superstar which only had 100,000 more viewers than the BBC2 documentary last night with 5.4 million, a 23% share.
