A couple of suggestions. Repeating Night and Day (which was far better than the ratings it got!) in hourly slots weeknights at 7pm.

Ok, I loved Night and Day, but whats the point in scrapping new episodes of soaps in order to show repeats of a soap that was (sadly) axed over 2 yrs ago? It doesnt make sense - at least show something different and not WWTBAM which should have been rested a long time ago.

The point is that on the whole the big soaps don't maintain their usual standards throughout the summer - and they'd be treating their fans with more respect by giving them a cliffhanger then a summer break than second rate storylines.

They are just suggestions. I know WWTBAM is past it's best - but it's just an example of the type of programme I mean to fill the slot - a big event type programme.

Another idea is just to replace Emmerdale and Corrie with Emmerdale and Corrie, repeating the high profile episodes from the last year.

They could replace them with repeats of old episodes, but not episodes from the past year, classic episodes from years ago.
