Soaps would get higher ratings if the times were set in stone - and the dates -- no more hour long "specials" except on Christmas Day or HUGE event etc..

Coronation St - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8:30PM

EastEnders - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 7:30PM

Emmerdale - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 7:00PM

Hollyoaks - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 6:30PM

The Bill - Tuesday, Thursday - 8PM

You seem to have missed the existence of The Bill somehow....!

What about the Champions League then? IMO the soap schedules are fine as they are. BBC1 and ITV1 have learned to live with each other on that one, and there are no clashes.

So what's your point?

Why do you always insist that Coronation Street moves to 8:30?

I think Corrie should remain at 7.30pm and be shown 4 nights a week on Sun, Mon, Wed and Fri. Emmerdale should also be 4 nights a week, Mon-Thurs at 7pm.

Hollyoaks should also go back to 4 days a week.

I think 8:30PM would be a nice slot for Corrie.

I think 7.30pm is the best time for Coronation Street, its been shown at that time for 40 odd years so why move it now, if it aint broke dont fix it.
