Yes I think so. I used to like the way Glen would emphasise the W of LWT so you really felt like it was the weekend. Although I work shifts so it makes no difference to me. But a nice touch nonetheless.
PS Does anyone else think that Glen looks younger than he sounds? But then people say that about a lot of continuity announcers and also people on the wireless I think

Oh yes, my ball is made of crystal, without doubt.
There was a young man from Devizes......................
I note Des has just joined in the "negggggggggst" game. Was he in the bar with Glen earlier, I wonder?

Certainly tanned after a summer off.
Can't you get him plugged up on the ringmain so you can have a look, Dan?

I don't have this "ring main" here in my living room at home, Nick. In fact I don't think I even get LWT, as I live in Wales. I think we get Harlech Television, but I've never found it on the dial - much less on the cat's whisker portable in the bedroom. Luckily I've managed to tune in some Jazz from Brecon - I think it must be on the Home Service.
PS We have normal tellies with Sky in the suites at work so can watch most channels, not that I would of course. Have you not been to our new(ish) digi area?

No, I must visit some time.
I note that the new Continuity Booth correspondent for Wales has been down again.
Can't let him have all the use of the red carpet!

Nick,
On this subject of "a young man from Devizes"
didn't he get
"plenty of surprises" ?
I think you'll find Glen might have been in the bar at the South Bank with Des tonight, whatsmore he spent more than 50p

Any time - the red carpet is on standby.
Mike, do you think Glen might have been partaking of alcoholic liquor before speaking on the television? I didn't think a television announcer would do that - do they not use breathalysers? I know that the BBC announcers at BBC Television Centre were always too BBC busy to drink - they told me that they had to go off and work in VT99 for a few hours before, during and indeed after the shift, so no chance of them sneaking off for a beer!

Hehe!
Yes, the drinks in the South Bank bar always did cost a penny or two more than in the Three Crowns in Devizes!
