Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the powers-that-be for getting Glen Thompsett back on my TV set in the evenings. For those of you that don't know (and probably don't care) Glen and the lovely Trish Bertram graced my television before the down fall of ITV regional continuity. Glen and Trish used to be the regulars on LWT. Although Glen and Trish often do daytime continuity, they shine so much brighter in the evenings.
Come on ITV, you can get some other bods on board. Mark Lipscome, Fiona Gouldman (Ex London Carlton) and even Philip Banks!! Come on, you know it makes sense. Give ITV back some GRAVITAS and get rid of those young kids.
I don't think he ever does, nor nights come to think of it.
A few others to add to that Return list:
Paul Veysey (Ex Central Birmingham)
Su Evans (Ex Central)
****HOT NEWS***
Two LWT'ers for the price of one.
What a treat, Glen Thompsett on ITV1 and the lovely Trish Bertram on Channel 5 tonight, both in peak time where they belong. Spread the word.
I don't know which channel to watch, the good thing is, programme junction times alternate, so I'm channel hopping so as not to miss anything. How sad am I. !!!???
Whatsmore, living in London, I just close my eyes and think its LWT all over again.!!

...even Philip Banks???????? Just where are they going to get that kind of money or indeed motivation? Check in the office draw of any manager, the voodoo doll will look familiar.
Just listening to the voice-over on the end of the last programme on five, and I reckon Ms Bertram's trying to "out-negggggst" Mr Thompsett tonight!
I find there's nothing that completes a voiceover like a tortuously long pause after the channel name followed by a good hard "negggggst". (although I don't think they bother with the branding so much on ITV) (1).
Good old Glen great to hear him on a Saturday night! They also need to get Roger Tilling back for the occasional shift - towards the end of LWT's continuity run he was sooooo over the top it was fantastic!
So out of the new bunch who do/don't we rate:
My thoughts for what they're worth:
Graham Bannerman - nothing special in my opinion.
Paul Seed - good voice but he has to stop his usual Premiership announcement that he overkilled last season 'Des Lynam bright eyes and bushy moustached' he did it several times last year and again on out regional announcement arrrgghhhh! Talk about re-hashing crap!
Graham Rogers - My fav at the moment
Paul Jamieson - awwww bless he tries to be sssoooo different ut slow down everything becomes just garbled.
Sonia Clark - Good voice but dull and unimaginative scripts poorly delived.
Sasha Twining - Again nothing special yet but give her chance.
What it all lacks is personality - it has improved but is still way too dull!
AS for ITV2 so they only have one voice? It's always the same guy (Jonas?) everytime I watch!
Ah yes Mr Golden Tonsils Roger Tilling. I heard him doing lots of voice work on University Challenge and Family Fortunes. He was another good one along with Andy Marriott (Ex Central Birmingham)
How does Nick know that Glen is going to be on tomorrow night?
