as we've had lots of snow affecting the soaps I'm wondering how often it's happened before. I don't ever remember seeing any snow on Brookside

Not unusual at all to see an unseasonal bout of snow on screen in the soaps - indeed as until this year snow has tended to fall later in Winter it would quite often be around April you'd see it. They've never really taken any particular effort to ignore it too.

remember a new years day episode of brookside where the close was full of fallen leaves, and in Eastenders when Heather and Sherley went to George Michael's house surposedly in January you could see very autumnal trees in the background

somebody has put a video of brookside close covered in snow on youtube so it got me thinking if it ever did snow during it's run as I don't recall there ever being any, maybe Liverpool had 21 years of very mild winters.

EastEnders had snow on screen last April.

Lots of snow on tonight's Emmerdale.
