You're right! Here's the one after the wedding:
Yes, apparently they continued Chums for a while after Ant and Dec left which I have no recollection of! On the last show when they brought it back for a one-off final, they just pretended that it had ended when Ant and Dec left.

Wikipedia says (citing the Daily Star so make of that what you will) that the reunion show has been put back to 2019.
I doubt that will be the case, next year will be a year to hope Ant makes a successful return and it all blows over, rather than taking on new projects you’d be looking at 2020 really. It doesn’t really have to be for an anniversary, or if it does they can make a tenuous one up.

Possibly a bit more value in CD:UK for archive music performances.
James Redmond wasn't bad actually and a shame he didn't last a bit longer. It's one of those situations we see all the time though where it's practically impossible to replace an established presenter(s) and there has to be a fall guy who takes over only to be culled not long after. Usually it's for someone better - in this case it was for Brian Dowling. Zoe and Jamie were the exception really in replacing one successful duo with another over on L&K.
I assume after the last year the reunion show is off the cards for now - might crop up again for the 25th anniversary.

In the final episode they let Dane Bowers out the toilet with the implication he'd been there since the wedding, he actually features quite heavily in that post-wedding episode!

I've mentioned on other threads that I always thought James Redmond was good, and at the time he seemed a really good choice, because he'd been on as a guest loads of times and really got it. I used to have an episode on an old tape for ages from mid-2001 where he was in the Dec Says sketch and he was absolutely brilliant, and the cast and crew were hysterical with laughter because he was so funny. I'm sure that was when they decided to offer him the job full time.
But when James started, they also introduced Brian, who turned out to be far more interesting to the audience and to the media and James was completely overshadowed. What they should have done is have at least a couple of months with just Cat and James to get him established, and then they could have introduced Brian, but the way they did it, it seemed like they were trying to replace him before he'd even started. Presumably they were a bit nervous about it so decided to go for a throw-enough-mud approach.
The weirdest bit was the week after H and Claire left, with absolutely no fanfare, they appeared on the show as guests to perform their new single, and they made no reference to the fact they'd been hosting it for the previous six months.
Ant and Dec left on 1st December (I remember cos it was the same time as the World Cup draw) and then for the rest of December it was Cat with guest hosts and the same features, including Chums, until the big relaunch in January with James and Brian and Tess and SMTV 2099 and all that.

How long did Chums continue after Ant and Dec left? I remember reading on the original thread on here from 2003 that they took Ant and Dec out of the titles and had a version with just Cat in them?

Nice bit of continuity there then! Even if most people don't remember Chums after Ant and Dec.

I think that was called Casually.
Didn't they do some kind of Casualty spoof when James Redmond joined?
I think that was called Casually.

Yes, with Cat's catchphrase "Deal with it!" For a while they alternated between that and SMTV 2099, the space-themed sketch that had started when Ant and Dec were still there, which ran when Chums was taking a break (which was to allow it, and all the other regular features, to return on the same day Live and Kicking/The Saturday Show did).

And then funnily enough he joined the real Casualty not long after leaving SM:TV.
