According to DS, they're planning the reunion to be around August/September 2018. They apparently can't get the original studio, but have said they intend for it to go ahead in the morning.
Does it matter what studio they use? They just need somewhere the right size to recreate the set.
Well thanks for that, Einstein. I suppose it's just natural when a show was in a studio for 52 weeks of the year for 5 years that that show kind of became associated with the place, both for avid fans and Ant & Dec themselves who from what they said clearly would have loved it to be at TLS again. But hey talk about bad timing...not gonna happen, so it will indeed be somewhere generic. I'm betting Elstree as it seems to be where everyone else is decamping to! TVC would be an ironic choice, but as they demolished TC6 maybe not.
I wonder who the team for this special will be? I'd pretty much guarantee David Staite as an executive producer as he's still very good friends with A&D. Conor McAnally is based in Texas these days from what Google tells me. If CD:UK returns too I'd once again almost be certain Phil Mount would be one of the driving forces.
Speaking of the set too, that's going to be a weird one surely. I mean I'd love to see a slightly modernished version of the old thing for old time's sake but for starters you can't really have an audience of under 10s now can you? Even if they did like Ant and Dec it'd just look weird! Likewise I feel it'd be really odd to have a load of 20 or 30 somethings who were children when the show was originally on air. I really hope this will be a quality special and not a rather cheesy, slightly weird nostalia fest like the Tiswas stuff. They are different shows with different personalities fronting them though so I have a good feeling.
