Sorry to hijack this thread but I have another question about UTV. I know UTV/ITV1 starts at 9:25am after GMTV, but what time does UTV finish at? I tuned in last night after having just come home from the bonfire and at the 2am junction we had an ITV1 branded trailer for "Spelling Bee" and two ITV1 idents but with no announcer.
Does this always happen? If so, what time does UTV return to network?
UTV ususally give up and start showing ITV1 at some time between 12pm and 1am, depending on where program intros are placed in the schedule. For example if a film starts at about 12, it will be announced on UTV, but then they will switch to ITV1 and their branding will be visible in the ad breaks. However they sometimes stay up later. Since the clean feed was made available, they have stuck with it when they hand over, meaning ITV1 idents are seen throughout the night with no announcements
I answer only from what I have noticed every now and then, and have no idea when they actually hand over. I doubt there is actually any set time though.
