Being as sad as I am I tuned into both Scottish TV and Grampian TV at 6:00 for the regional news and noticed it was the exact same announcer and she branded the channel.

I take it they pre-record ALL announcements now?

No, just the intros to Grampian News. Generally, all other annoucements are live from 9.25 a.m. until 11 p.m. on both stations.

Yes. Announcer Maggie has just said Hell's Kitchen continues every night for two weeks HERE. Where is HERE?

ITV2 being pre-recorded surely doesn't have much to do with it - I simply compared it to SMG because that's the one element of network continuity I have access to. However I remember when SMG were working out of a dirty feed, the ITV1 now/next/laters were far more informative.

Hell's Kitchen starting "here" is a new one - normally they'd use the standard SMG "on this channel" phrase.

They really need to get their act in gear and get it back to the way it was when the stations were branded and the announcers sounded as though they were doing more than reading from a very short script. (Next....., then......, later.....)
