A curious comment -- the ITV regions have no say, and no staff to have a say. They haven't had the capability for a long time now.

When they were independent, each ITV region was as fiercely defensive of its own editorial independence as the next.

Regionality is dead -- and it was dead a long time before 2002. The decline started in 1993, and by about 1998 it was more or less irreversible. No way is it ever coming back now.

HTV, Carlton & LWT viewers lost their own regions identity back in 2002.

Well, although the "Carlton" name disappeared in the London region, it continued in the midlands' and southwest's regionally-suffixed ITV1 idents for a while. Hence why the Carlton name didn't get a send-off like HTV and LWT did - because it wasn't totally disappearing from the whole country.

You must of seen this coming.

Grammatically, that word should be have . Because of the lazy way that most people talk, it's no wonder that people keep making the mistake of thinking it's "of" instead of "have" (in expressions like "could have", "must have", etc). What sounds like "must of" is in fact "must 've " Idea
