I thought it was a vast improvement on last year, they had cut down on the singing acts, and it was more in-line with what variety ought to be I felt.

Russell Brand and Joan Rivers are acquired tastes... but the same could be said for any of those acts on the bill, down to individual tastes I suppose

I thought Tarby's political gags were a little last year! Still, he always makes a good compere.

A little 35 years ago with Tarby Wink He's a good egg though and has great Scouse delivery-- so I won't knock him too much. Ho ho!

It was awful, I often go to the L'pool Empire, and was surprised they decided to use such a crappy and small place, even the Royal Box couldn't be used (that could be because it's not facing the stage though...)
