Hold on Samsung and Pace box owners. You'll get the update by the end of November. Very Happy

Been away for a little while, and now back home. Great quality for SD and HD content on the Sky+ HD iPlayer implementation. Like the Sky Anytime+ stuff it's full quality interlaced material for both SD and HD with few compression artefacts. Only tiny niggle is that there isn't any Dolby 5.1 material on HD shows like Strictly that were broadcast with it - but that is a TINY niggle.

I can certainly treat it more as a download than a streaming service if it delivers this quality - though I have >15Mbs broadband so it's not a major issue for me personally.

A further 3 options have been added to Sky's Catch-up download facility this week:

Nat Geo (including Nat Geo Wild) on Monday, History and CI on Thursday. All offer HD as well as SD downloads from the last 7 days - leaving ITV as the only catch-up service only offering SD.

We're just waiting for 4oD at the moment. I think that was promised by Spring 2013.

Stupid question but I hoooked up the box today and only get the top row (I.e. bbc, itv, 5 demand, Sky)

so how do I update to get Nat Geo, History and CI channels?

Stuart was on the beta programme for the new EPG, so it seems he's got the new channels to test before the rest of us. I also only have the top row.

I'm no longer on a beta test, but as you're the second person to say they can't get anything other than the top row, I'll ask around and see whether they've just automatically uploaded the former beta testers first. Confused

EDIT :
Having asked some of the other beta testers, it appears we have got this first - although it's not part of any formal test, and there isn't a 'Non-Disclosure Agreement' in place at the moment. Apparently they'll be adding new providers quite a bit over the coming months.

Good to see some more channels being added to the 7 day catch up service. Any idea when beta testers will be trying out 4oD? Also is the Sky Movies tab going to be rolled out to all users?

They've added more tabs to the 7 day catch up section. Sky Movies and Sky Sports have their own sections they are joined by National Geographic, History and the Crime Channel. And most exciting of all is 4oD there as Coming Spring 2013. Exciting times!

People may be disappointed by the rather meagre HD offerings on 4oD: infact, at the moment there are no HD programmes at all. Confused
