In other news, I notice that on Sky Anytime (SD) currently there is a PPV film but rather than being from Sky Box Office it is from 'Sky Store'. I don't know if this is a new thing, I hardly ever look at Sky Anytime but I haven't noticed Sky Store mentioned here yet. The description still says 'SBO T&Cs'. Is a rebrand of Sky Box Office on the way?

Sky Store is the new name for the wider selection of PPV programmes/films available through download. It's quite an extensive catalogue, and ranges in price from about 99p upwards.

Ultimately, perhaps it will replace Sky Box Office, which currently hogs about 60 EPG slots in the 700 range.

EDIT: I realise I've just repeated (without realising) the blurb shown on the EPG about Sky Store. Rolling Eyes

I can understand the motive behind Sky Store with films that have very recently been released on DVD, but there are a lot of them that I feel should be kept in the Anytime folder. There are films in there that are years old and not even iconic, legendary films either and, whether or not you subscribe to Sky Movies, you have to pay up for them. I understand paying for Johnny English Reborn but I'm not paying for Robocop 2.

It looks like Sky1 wont be rebranding anytime soon, I thought all these new programe specific idents were just a temporary fix by the in house team. It appears not since Sky commissioned Radium to create the sound track to the Got to Dance idents. http://www.radium-audio.com/filter/Original-Music/Got-to-Dance-Idents

Those are REALLY nice, apart from having to use the actual 'Sky Arts 1' logo at the end, they could have re-shot them to include the full name, or similar to the 2010-11 versions?

I didn't say you had to laugh, I just said I had an uncontrollable urge to produce a childish image, with such a huge gap waiting to be filled.

Sky1 has now fully ditched the chrome '1' idents. They are no longer used overnight or on Sky Anytime - which were they only places they remained since mid January.

What happens when the series linked to the idents finish then? Surely not more of the same?

And when did Keith Lemon start doing the announcements?

Stella and the Café are finished until 2013 and they still use their idents. They play them out at random, for example the Stella ident can be seen introducing Mad Dogs and the opposite way around. I first heard Keith Lemon before Christmas on a few occasions, now he works on Sky1 a lot since Paul Daniels left.
