Random observation: Sky News has ended up with by far the nicest interpretation of the otherwise drab generic trail endboard design, which is a shame given how little it will be used in comparison to the other channels.

Sky Sports endboard is also nice

The general Sky one, sometimes seen at 8 or 9 pm on Sky1, is awful in my opinion. It's very dark, very out of touch with the channel's overall appearance and tries to squeeze as many channel details on as possible, including non-Sky ones like FX and Comedy Central.

I assume your talking about the new menus? There not that good at all, the channels logos and information appear on screen in a flash, no fading. It looks like a very bad powerpoint presentation. Sky1 is at an all time low from presentation.

I believe so. I think Sky1 has become lost since the introduction of Atlantic and Living. Sure it's got some good, new British comedy and drama, but other than that it's got no identity any more. Atlantic is aimed at the quality, upmarket audience as a rival to BBC Four, and Living is aimed at women. What's the target audience for Sky1?

Also, with Sky Arts 1 and 2 moving up the EPG, what's happening to Sky2, is that being axed like the other Sky Living channel?

Sky2 is moving from channel 129 to 121. Eventually there will be no need for Sky2 and Sky Livingit with Sky Go and Anytime plus. I imagine they wont last much longer unless they premier new programs instead of being pure catch up channels.

Far from it, Sky2 is actually being 'promoted' to a higher EPG position. It will be on 121.

So where's Sky Living+1 going?

To 123, but I'm not sure where Sky Livingit+1 is going.

Sky Livingit +1 is moving from 123 to 238, don't know why it moving so far down since there are 25 free channels between 117 and 234 in the entertainment section.

They seem to be merging the Entertainment and Lifestyle genres together. Sky Arts 1/2 and their HD counterparts will be in both, but which positions they occupy will depend on whether or not you have the HD pack.

According to Sky's website, this is happening on Tuesday:

>Sky Arts 1 HD moves to 129 (Sky Arts 1 to 239)
>Sky Arts 2 HD moves to 130 (Sky Arts 2 to 290)
> Sky 2 moves to 121
> Sky Living+1 moves to 123
> Sky LivingIt+1 moves to 238
> Sky Living Loves will close

Sky 3D is also moving to channel 170. Seems a bit complicated to me but hey ho.

I don't see how it's any more complicated than it is currently, which is quite complicated when you think of all the better ways there are to implement access to +1 an HD channels without using additional EPG slots.

In other news, I notice that on Sky Anytime (SD) currently there is a PPV film but rather than being from Sky Box Office it is from 'Sky Store'. I don't know if this is a new thing, I hardly ever look at Sky Anytime but I haven't noticed Sky Store mentioned here yet. The description still says 'SBO T&Cs'. Is a rebrand of Sky Box Office on the way?
