One article I read but am too lazy to find stated it'll become available to all customers regardless of ISP.
Are the BBC going to be all right with it being unnecessarily restricted to Sky Broadband customers?

Indeed, from Easter Sky are opening up the Anytime+ service to all ISPs: this seems to have been the trigger for the BBC to agree to allow iPlayer onto the platform.
However, perhaps the BBC want their own 'front end' application to be more visible, rather than it being used through the Anytime+ interface. I was wondering whether it will just be an option through the interactive button directly to the BBC iPlayer website?
How does BBC iPlayer work on Freesat? Does it look the same as the web-based version? Does it still download to the disk, or does it have to be buffered and played that way?

Will be interesting to see how they go about branding the new internet TV service - presumably they will want it to be distinctive from both Sky TV and Sky GO.
Considering they are trying to attract people who don't want or can't have satellite dishes, it will presumably need to be branded clearly so as not to confuse it with existing Sky products or to make current Sky subscribers confuse it with the likes of Sky GO and Sky Anytime.
It due to launch 'in the first half' of the year so we should see something of the branding, or at the very least the name, soon enough.

50 Years of Corrie and An Audience with Harry Hill to name but two. Of course, my Anytime connection is rubbish so I've only been able to watch three minutes of the latter.
Ooh what kind of archive stuff? 4oD has first and last episodes of shows like Brookside on there.

Where we are the Internet connection runs that slow that it took a few hours to download an audience with Harry Hill.

Mine just refuses to download. They all 'fail' after a while and never resume, even days after I keep trying to resume it.

Sky1 has won the Broadcast channel of the year for 2012. I wonder will we see any special presentation like back in 2008?

Why exactly?
It seems more like the BBC Two of the Sky group now. In my opinion, Atlantic is a much better channel in terms of programming.
