Very bizarre that Virgin have a 50% stake in UKTV but does not carry any HD or VoD from UKTV.
Good to see HD spreading - at the very least it will improve the SD picture quality!
Wasn't there talks of Virgin selling their stake? I seem to recall a bit of confusion as to whether or not they were still in control seeing as VMTV fell into the hands of Sky.
Virgin's stake was sold this week to Scripps who own Food Network.
Where's the confirmation? It's been set to happen for nearly a year now...
Broadcast and probably Media Guardian as well. They've already said they intend to keep Food Network going alongside Good Food.
Sky-related as I didn't want to make a new thread, but UKTV are launching Watch, Dave and Alibi in HD on Sky as well as on-demand content.
