Yep, that lasted till 2004 when they became Sky Movies 1-9, that lasted till 2007 when it became genre-based, which lasted until this month.

The 1998 idents for Sky Premier were the ones with the drapes and ladies standing on golden clouds.
The "falling lady" ident came in 2002 when the Sky Movies name was reintroduced (and the channels became "Sky Movies Premier", "Sky Movies Max" etc).
The falling lady only lasted about 16 months, because Sky decided to abolish the Premier and Max brands in 2003 and replaced them with a kinda generic ident.

I think we're getting confused over what idents are the "falling ladies" ones. I would have refered to the 1998 Sky Premier package as "falling ladies" myself, as it featured ladies falling to release the golden curtain containing the logo.

That's the one I was referring to, no idea on the official name.
Though I've always thought of the one that followed in 2002 (my favourite Sky Movies ident, incidentally) as the "Flying Lady" as opposed to falling. He-ho.

Ahhh, I thought that the 'falling lady' ident was on air more recently than 2002.
I do think that's a great ident, very classy and simple

I was also referring to the one which produced the drapes, not the later 'silver' version with her flying into the logo.

I've noticed two slightly different versions of the Wild West scene in the new Sky Movies ident. When it is shown in the middle of an ident, it only has a few cowboys, while it has an entire herd of horses when shown at the end. Also the mountains move around a little.

Pick TV launches with pretty much the same line up as Sky 3, by the looks of things.
