Anyone else noticed that the promos and adverts on Sky1 HD aren't being broadcast in high def at the minute?

The new Sky Movies idents are really very nice (if quite long), the camera pans from right to left across a series of cinematic landscapes before ending back where it started:

The different channels end and start at different points, obvious ones for a few of the channels (Sky Movies Family is at the fantasy icy landscape, Drama & Romance is at the old country house), but some of the channels don't fit in to any of them, and the place the ident ends seems a bit random:

One thing that I don't think has been mentioned so far is that all these new idents are in HD for the first time. It makes the Sky Movies one look particularly good and detailed (sadly, you can't see that with my low-quality captures) and while the new Sky 1 idents aren't quite as clever as what came before, they do look very nice in HD.

So it seems that all the idents are the same, but does the start and end location change depending on the channel, so family uses the snow location with faeries.

Yep, so Crime & Thriller uses the Brooklyn street for example, (and so does Comedy, because I guess none of them are particularly suitable for it).

I see they couldn't be bothered making new idents for Sky3, this rebranding to 'PickTV' has obviously been in planning for sometime now then. Just rehashes of the previous breakbumper slightly changed with the old music.

Sky1/2... hmm. I don't know. I like them, and I like the previous set. I think they'll grow on me.

Sky Movies... what the?! I agree; I'll miss those lightshow idents. They were very classy and these new ones... ugh. Sorry, just no.

Sky Arts... No. Just no. Just stick with the previous ones.

Sky Living... Well, actually, these are okay for me. But the endboards are going to look a lot bland. Look what they did with them in that video of Channel One's closing. Very good. Now it'll just be text and a logo. Nice work Sky.

'Sky Living Loves' launched/rebranded rather ignominiously at 3pm.
Arrow There was no EPG information for programmes after 3pm
Arrow No mention of the new name, just a v/o the first ident about a programme on Sky Living
Arrow There was a 'Sky Atlantic' DOG Rolling Eyes
Arrow It was in 'stretchyvision' (although the DOG wasn't)

Wrong DOG & aspect ratio:

Correct (but badly positioned) DOG & aspect ratio:

I think they are the same idents, just with the updated logo.

I didn't have Sky Arts before, as it's only just gone into the 'Variety Pack', but I'm sure someone can confirm this.

I also quite like the Sky1/2 idents, but not as much as the last lot.

Worth noting that Sky1 and Sky1 HD now have separate idents.
