You have to wonder why they bothered to change Sky3 at all - it's not like it gets any promotion (except the free weekend which could have just used that logo if needs be).

Surprised at how cheap and tacky the standardised trail endboards are. I can understand they were going for simple, but it just looks like they've made no effort. The logo is also incredibly small - I had to strain to see "Sky 3" on my 19" telly. Also, interestingly, safe areas appear to have gone out of the window.

Shame Sky1's excellent previous idents have been replaced with this rather bland and generic offering. They remind me of ITV1's original "emotions" idents. Seems so far that the music is the same across the board?

Please tell me Sky Arts' fantastic idents haven't been superseded too!?

Not sure if its been mentioned but the promo style for Sky Movies has changed in line with Sky 1 2 3 Living Arts etc...

Has anyone seen the Box Office new look yet? And will Sky News and Sky Sports match trailer styles?
Its all very 1998 again isn't it with generic logos and channels sharing an ident style!

Seems Sky Arts have re-edited their idents, not totally replaced them.

No new look for Sky Box Office yet - could come tomorrow as Wednesday is the day that the movies change over.

Manually tuning the transponder with the Living/Challenge channels on is just coming up 'No signal found' (11.739 V 27.5 2/3).

Could it be that they are moving physically as well as on the EPG, but Living HD isn't - hence the caption.

They are moving playout from Red Bee to Sky so I suspect that is what happened overnight. IIRC the Virgin channels were all on the same transponder anyway but if they did move playout thay would have moved uplinks as Sky do everything inhouse.

Presumably the white dot is so they know which are coming from W12 and which from Osterley

I'd have thought Sky would have moved Challenge to their normal format of showing an ident before every programme (without a CA outside of prime time)?

The Sky Media site has been updated with new logos, including logos for Sky 2 HD and Sky3 HD (!).

The promo style for the renamed 'Sky Movies Box Office' looks similar to those on the other channels. These are from the Preview Channel ( EPG 700). The music has stayed the same.

Wow, suddenly ITV1 idents and presentation looks 'cutting edge'

That music is as dreary as the ITV1 jingle. Think we've grown to expect much better from Sky.

Heavenly and Martin Lambie-Nairn have taken credit for the Sky Atlantic idents. They have posted an explanation and a screencap on their website.
