Thanks for that, don't think it had been posted.

It can also been seen at the bottom of this article about Atlantic,

Hard to tell whether the background for 'Sky' and 'HD' is translucent or if it's just black/very dark purple. Not a hugely imaginative logo on paper but obviously best to wait and see how the whole package comes together.

Translucent/transparent judging by your link

Look at the URL name for that logo:

The background seems to be completely transluscent. The 'Sky' and 'HD' part disappears against white backgrounds:

I've also found this version which was posted in a corporate document about a month ago:

I has slightly different proportions, but I guess it has been replaced by now.

I suppose everything is being brought in line so SkyNews and Sports will now fit better, will this mean Sky1, 2 & 3 follow suit and have a relaunch in the new year? Or am I jumping the gun Confused

Its just strange though, as Sky 3D launched after the new style logos. Sky Arts have relaunched without it too.

Sky 3D will be on its 3rd logo already. It started with 'Sky 3D' then 'sky 3D' then '[sky|3d]'

A friend tweets me to say Channel One announced it is to close at the end of January, according to continuity at the end of Ghost Whisperer just before 9 tonight.

Edit: http://sky.com/nevermiss was plugged.

The whole Sky rectangle look, if it is happening across the board, reminds me of the logos that are used on the Canal+ channels in the Scandanavian countries, the logos do fit in the boxes and the idents look very polished, if Sky do go down this route, then I hope they pull it off something like this...

Someone on DS has found the new Sky channel logos. Looking good.

They've gone for the boxed look we're seeing on all their channel logos. Here's Sky1:

The blue in the Sky 1 logo doesn't quite match the blue used in the shattered glass effects that they currently use. No major surprises with the Sky Living logo considering how keen Sky are to have a channel that appeals to women, pink was the obvious colour choice.

Look forward to seeing how they all look on air, certainly the right decision to give them all a uniformed look.

The Sky1 document includes both that new logo and the shattered glass effect.

The Living logo, although a different font, still uses the same stylised V as at present.

Is it possible that they are keeping the current on screen branding for those channels, but creating more standardised logos for print and cross-channel promotions?
