Does anyone know why the Sky1/Sky2/Sky3 logos STILL use the old Sky branding? Considering Sky1 HD is their flagship channel you would have thought it'd be first to change. Even my replacement HD remote has the new Sky logo on it at the top.
It makes me wonder if a brand new look is coming, what with Sky Atlantic launching in the new year...

You'd be hard pushed to spot the different between the old and the new logos in view of the size it's shown on the remote control.

I don't think they have updated their remotes as part of the recent change to the on-screen logo.
The remote controls/STBs have included only the lower case Sky logo for about 5 years. The revamped 2010 on-screen logo is barely distinguishable from the previous version at that size.
Perhaps that's why the change was relatively minor, in view of the amount of equipment on which it appears, otherwise they would be inadvertantly dating particular bits of kit.

Hard to tell whether the background for 'Sky' and 'HD' is translucent or if it's just black/very dark purple. Not a hugely imaginative logo on paper but obviously best to wait and see how the whole package comes together.
