I think there's too many guests that aren't well known over here, and other US centric content which is the reason why showings of the various US late night chat shows have never taken off over here. And it's not like they haven't tried numerous times over the years- going back to ITV trying to show Johnny Carson back in the early 80s. I suspect Corden would suffer from the same thing, even though he is British.

Has Sky One given up on new idents/BB to its package? For a while it package was increasing all the time.
You wouldn't mind them giving up on creating new idents. Worse though is that they seem just to be using the same three idents over and over, despite a large number being available.

I notice there is the lull of pre-watershed commissions for Sky One at the moment. Ten years ago, pre-watershed commissions included studio based game shows/entertainment series like Gladiators, Don't Forget The Lyrics, Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old, Got to Dance. There was also a last attempt at the live magazine show called Angela & Friends. Since Sky 1 became Sky One, it is all male banter based (in the other words - male skewed). That target audience is too narrow for the flagship general entertainment channel. I think Sky under Comcast need to be precise with Sky One, be distinctive from other pay entertainment channels from revamping the schedules to be on par with BBC1 and ITV.
So I read on Wikipedia that Sky Crime will launch on the 1st October and will replace Real Lives on channel 170.
I suspect that this is true so I guess it's the end of an era for Real Lives and its previous incarnations.

Wiki is not the be all and end all of things, it is quite often wrong.
Take what it says with a pinch of salt and always independently verify what you read when you can.

Even if it is true, that doesn't necessarily mean Real Lives is closing.
Real Lives could just be moving to another EPG slot.
