On the occasions I have seen SSN advertising ESPN, they have indeed been using the logo in the ticker. However I have only seen this promotion when it has been the English Premier League, no other sport.
Just makes me wonder whyt they didn't extend the same coutesy to Sultana.
On a slightly related note, it's the norm in the USA for networks to cross-promote, especially when it comes to the baseball play offs. They even use their competitor's logos, rather than just using text.

Yes but Sky News don't promote Five News do they? Nor did BBC promote Sky during the Carling Cup.
not surprising since it is the same team producing ESPN's premier league coverage!

Actually the BBC do promote Sky's live football coverage on their website.

A user is reporting that Sky 2 is being scrapped next week in favor of Sky1 +1.
Doesn't have a source or anything but no one has disproved him.

This is true, it's in next week's Radio Times, although there are some opt outs in the evening, usually to show a different episode of The Simpsons.

It's staying as Sky 2, Sky 3 is unaffected.
Not much point calling it Sky 1 +1 if it's showing an hour of different programmes a day, I doubt many viewers will notice as Sky 2 is just Sky 1 repeats, its often common to see the likes of Futurama on Sky 1, and then the same episodes again 23 hours later on Sky 2.
Wonder what axing Sky 2 will mean for Sky 3 then - I could see Sky wanting to use it's EPG slot for Sky 1 HD.
