But when it will, we can expect a reorganisation into genres similar to the British and Italian ones
Does anyone know whether Sky Sport Deutschland also gets the new logos?

Today I have spotted one of the reporters of SkySportNewsHD using a microphone with the new sky sport logo on it ! So it seems it is also not far away for Sky Deutschland.

I have spotted a different Sky Formula 1 logo on an offer, and I can't find it again . . . I am hunting . . .
EDIT: Here it is . . . it is much better than the current one . . .

That’s not a logo. That’s just the font they use on that channel - just like the Football and PL cards above it. Each channel has their own variant.

OK. I thought perhaps they had relented on that awful logo
But Sky didn't register it as a trademark? It's not their name to register. I can't see them using this without permission.

But why would someone register it as a trademark? Seems odd.
The text "Formula 1" is the trademark - https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/4/EU000770479 - it doesn't have to be in a specific font.

How is that possible? Seems unusual. I have read it, but very odd.

Not unusual at all...

Because FOM trademarked those words in that order, plus the old flying F1 logo, to protect the rights to the name and logo of that code of the sport.
In the same way McDonald's have trademarked the name 'McDonalds' the golden arches M logo, names of burgers on the menu, and will even go after independently owned burger shops with similar sounding names (Macdonals, for example)
Try starting a company to do with cars and call it 'Formula1' or 'F1' and see how long it is before you get a strongly worded legal letter forcing you to change it from the lawyers acting on behalf of Liberty Media.
You do see occasional examples of people trying it on. But they don't last long.
My favorite was the 'F1 car repair centre' workshop in Stechford just outside Birmingham. Clearly visible from the train hrading towards Birmingham, they even used a dodgy knock-off of the old F1 logo on the sign on the front. Lasted all of 3 months, one day changed the name, since closed down.

Not sure where to put this. I have a TiVo WishList set up for the new Karl Pilkington show on Sky One, 'Sick of It', which is supposed to be premiering tomorrow at 10pm. However it appears to be premiering in just a few hours instead, at 2am on Thursday morning. Is this right? It's set to record anyway.

They regularly do broadcast their new shows before at 2am, especially their original commissions and the HBO content on Atlantic.
It’s been done for some time now.
