Sky's Branding

The Sky Sports iPhone app has been updated to include the new logo.

Sadly they're using a weird 2D stacked version of the logo on the icon and main page. Still, at least it's better than before.

Any chance of posting some screenshots of the app running? For those of us who haven't succumbed to the giant dark octopus of apple products

The Sky movies glossy logo is never used on screen and non of the movie idents are even in HD, pretty disappointing you'd expect better from a premium channel(s)

Sky 217, it's seems to have a channel called SKY 3D, don't know if it's been discussed elsewhere....

This weekend's Man Utd Chelsea game is in 3D, quote, "in selected pubs and clubs up and down the country."

The Sky Movies Idents, or at least some of them, appear to be in HD now.

Sky Sports News is now promoting ESPN's Premier League matches in its ticker. How long has that been going on? And why?

Yeah, I've seen that before - probably a couple of months ago now. It's there for the same reason ESPN promos get played out during the ad breaks - not sure of the exact details, but something to do with their friendly arrangement about sharing football rights and cross promotion.

Well I suppose Sky don't want to appear like some sort of evil tyranical sports hogging monopoly do they.
