Sky UK is the only one using the lowercase logos as far as I know, Germany and Italy still have logos in capitals. Didn't know Sky were in Mexico.

If Wikipedia is to be believed (and it is not always to be, of course) the Mexican company has little to do with Sky now other than the name and logo - seems to be owned by a local company and DirecTV.

It's true. Televisa is the majority owner of Sky Mexico. with AT&T/DirecTV holding a minority stake. Here in Brazil, Sky (using the old Sky Italia logo, only in red) is owned by AT&T/DirecTV, with Grupo Globo holding a very minority stake, about 8% of the company.
Elsewhere in Latin America, the DirecTV brand is used (when DirecTV Latin America and Sky Latin America merged - back then, they were both owned by the old News Corporation - the Sky brand was the surviving one in Brazil and Mexico because of their higher consumer awareness versus the DirecTV brand, which had a higher awareness elsewhere).

According to DS forums, +1 channels will go in the 200s, with them mirroring the channels in the 100s, so ITV+1 will be on 203 and C5+1 on 205 etc.

A sensible idea, will make channel numbers easier to remember - but what about +1s for channels that aren't in the 100s, for example, the kids channels?

There's also some +2s.

What about SD and HD versions of channels. How will that work?

Documentary channels will be lumped into the Entertainment section (101 - 199)

SD channels are apparently going to have a new category for 'secondary channels', which will reflect the order of entertainment and documentary channels. Exact numbers haven't been released yet.

HD Swaps for regionalised channels will take effect on the day of the reshuffle. ITV HD regions which mirror the SD channel would be installed at the top of the EPG.

This change to the Sky EPG is the most radical one yet, since 2011 (when HD Swap was launched). This gives documentary channels and entertainment channels with terrible EPG slots not just more prominence in the Sky EPG, but guarantees better performance in viewing figures. And the most important aspect of this reshuffle - cleaning up the clutter and mess of the EPG, and making it more easier to reach channels on the guide.

Does this mean an end to the customised HD swap, where HD channels are only swapped based on a subscriber's viewing package?

I don't subscribe to HD channels, but the free HD channels (e.g. BBC Two HD, Channel 5 HD, BBC Four HD) are now in the slots previously occupied by the SD versions (102, 105 and 116), and the HD channels which require a subscription are still in the old slots, with the SD versions still higher up in their original slots.

Will this still be the case after the change? Given I don't have an HD subscription, I'm assuming that HD channels will move to this "secondary channels" section, but will this section also include the free HD channels such as BBC Two HD, Channel 5 HD, etc), i.e. will the main EPG only includes SD channels, even if the HD version doesn't require a subscription?

Saw a "Soccer PM" promotion on Sky One, but one thing I noticed on the endboard was that the old "Sky1" logo was used. How can this happen 2 months on from a rebrand? Somebody should tell the Sky Sports managers that the rest of Sky's channels now have new logos.

Great suggestion. Would you mind drafting the letter?

If its like most organisations the Sports department won't give a toss that they're using the wrong Sky1 logo on promos for Sky 1. Typically they'll use what they already have (until their source is updated) and if its out of date, not their problem.

A previous employer rebranded and were using a three year old logo on letterheads - the template had never been updated. AFAIK they're still using that really old logo even though the company's rebranded yet again in the meantime.
